What: Low key, no fee run on sections of the beautiful Prescott Circle Trail.
When: Saturday, October 17th. 7 AM start.
Where: Thumb Butte Day-Use Area. Coming into town from the east on Highway 69, continue on Gurly street until it turns into Thumb Butte. Continue 2 miles up the road to the picnic area on the right.
Cost: Free
Distance & Aid: The full distance is 50k, but there are opportunities to cut the run short to 11 and 23 miles. There will be water and minimal aid provided at miles 11, 17, and 26.
Course: Maps will be provided the day of the race, along with markings at major junctions. The trail itself is all single track or converted dirt roads, mostly flat or gradually rolling and no major climbs. From the start, the course follows the Prescott Circle Trail north to Iron Springs Road, then back to the starting area. From here, it follows the PCT south to Copper Basin Road, where the second aid station will be. Continue on the trail to Haisley Road, before returning the same way.
Contact: Nick Coury at calculusrunner@gmail.com If you are interested in running, please contact me so I can get an idea how many people are coming. Also, if you wish to help, I may need a volunteer or two to help with aid and course markings.

Note that there is a $5 per vehicle fee at the Thumb Butte parking lot that goes to support the facilities there.
