Come on out and line up for a hug. You can go through the line as many times as you like!

Running Hope Through America w/ Lisa Batchen from April 19th to June 19th, 2010. Lisa Smith Batchen, one of the world's premier ultra-runners, will be the first person to attempt to run 50 miles in each of the 50 states. Though two people have previously run a marathon distance in each state, no one has ever taken on the challenge of completing an ultra in the same period of time. Lisa will be in Phoenix on Tuesday, June 8th. It would be cool to get a group out to support her. Jamil is planning to run with her for a least a couple of hours. The Phoenix route isn't posted yet but will be some sort of looped course. Check it out

Jody's "I'm Outta Here Party" Saturday 5/29

Jody's "I'm outta here party!" Saturday, May 29th, we are having a going away party for our Jody girl. Jody is moving to Lake City, Colorado. Boo hoo!!!
Start with a 7 mile trail run at Cave Creek Park on the Go Jon trail. Meet at the trailhead 7:30am, run will take about 80 minutes. Take Carefree hwy to 32nd street, go north on 32nd. (only way you can go) Follow it right into the entrance, pay your 6 bucks. Follow road around until you see "Hiking trails," turn left, next left is where we park.
After our little run, we will go to Jody's apartment pad/complex, for some swimming, BBQ, drinking, relaxing. Jody lives close to the trail, I'll have her print up directions.
Honey and Jeffy are the hostesses with the mostesses, so if you could let one of us know you're coming, we can figure out food, drinks, etc. Thought we could all pitch in so Jody-girl doesn't have to do a thing!
Let's make this so much fun Jody won't want to leave us! :)

Reminder: Group trail run Wednesday Morning in the Phoenix Mountain Preserve. Meet at the very top of Squaw Peak Drive north of Glendale / Lincoln at 5:16 AM. Plan on a little over one hour at a slow to moderate pace. Guests, visitors, 1st timers always welcomed to join in.
Sometimes our Runner of the Week awards get delayed. As was the case last week. Just blame it on the Zane Grey 50 ....again. Congrats to Dave Cauthon's 25th overall finish of the Whiskey Row Marathon in Prescott. Also, Jody Chase followed up her Zane Grey 50 Finish to run the Whiskey Row Marathon. Jody was the 11th female finisher. Very impressive considering just 7 days prior was Zane Grey (some would call it "Hell Race")

Bring on the Lakers!! One Eye and all!!
